1974 Original Keith Haring Character Drawing signed Keith (he was 15) in Kutztown HS Yearbook. Keith was a sophmore in High School when he drew this small piece. There are two photos of young Keith in the yearbook. One of his earliest known pieces. Comes with letter from original owner and fellow student.
This is one of the earliest Keith Haring pieces you will ever see. In 1974 Keith was a Sophmore in HS and starting to shine. How many Sophmores get two pictures in the Senior Yearbook? This comes with a great and special signed letter of provenance describing the relationship between the student and Keith. It is known that he was a paperboy, and this was a friend on his route. There is a note in the yearbook under the drawing that is quite historic and revealing. The piece is 2 in x 2 in plus the note, simply signed Keith. Totally cool piece.
